Short description about my beloved parents.
MY FATHER
His name is Jacob Joseph. He was born in February 1919 at (Tellipallai hospital)
Mallakam-Jaffna. He was brought up at Trincomalee with his father taking care of his work. He has an experience in Construction
Section for about 10 years in Royal Navy [British Navy] before Srilanka's Independence. He continued to work at the same place,
but with Srilankan Navy at Trincomalee after Independence.
He was awarded by Srilankan Navy for his service
in Construction department from 1950 to 1975 [25 Years Service]. He has the privilege of getting that Honour [Medals and Cups]
from respected JR.Jayawardana. As a memorial of my father, a LION sculpture stands in The Navy Main Gate at Trincomalee.
Even after his work at Navy, due to the interest he had in Construction, he continued his work within Trincomalee. He passed
away in 1992 leaving his memories of "Mason Joseph" with the people of Trincomalee.
